Oreos, grandma names, and a baby who already runs the house. That is the Williams family story, and it is the sweetest kind.

I have known Lauren and Cliff for a long time. I photographed their engagement. Then their wedding. It was my last big wedding before I stepped away from weddings to focus only on maternity and newborn work. As an Easley newborn photographer, being invited back again for their newborn season felt like coming full circle in the best way.

Now they are home with baby Evelyn, settling into this brand new chapter. Her name carries so much heart. She was named after both of their grandmas. That kind of choice says everything about how deeply family matters in this home.
Evelyn’s birth story is honest and real. Labor was much longer than expected, but she arrived safe and healthy. That is what mattered most.
Lauren was induced because doctors thought Evelyn would be huge. She arrived at a totally normal size, proving from day one that she was already doing things her own way.
Their approach to sharing the news was simple and sweet. They told friends and family right away. No big reveal. Just joy that could not wait. That fits them perfectly. Open. Warm. Genuine.

Pregnancy cravings told their own story too. Oreos led the list, with pretty much any cookie close behind. That detail feels small, but it becomes part of the memories that stick forever. Years from now, cookies will still bring them back to this season.
Parenthood has surprised them in the best ways. Lauren shared that the trenches are honestly not that bad. Diaper changes are not terrible. The funny little noises babies make are already a source of daily laughter. Those are the kinds of moments that matter most.
Not the big milestones. The everyday sounds. The quiet smiles. The way a tiny person starts to feel familiar so quickly. Lauren said the best part of being a parent is everything, especially when Evelyn smiles and loves them back. That connection is already growing strong.

And of course, Rufus had to be part of it all. Rufus was there for their wedding photos, and he showed up again for their newborn session at home. Watching a family grow while their dog stays right by their side is one of my favorite full-circle moments. Rufus took his role seriously. Loyal. Gentle. Always nearby.
Lauren and Cliff, thank you for trusting me again and again with your milestones. Thank you for welcoming me into your home and into this tender season. Your love is easy to see and even easier to celebrate.
